Аннотация: Master the Wards: Internal Medicine Clerkship combines both the advice of those on current third- and fourth-year rotations and the expectations of your residents and teaching attending. This book will tell you, disease by disease: • "This is what you MUST know for this case ."• "This is what you will be asked ."• "This is the most common mistake for this case."• "This is the thing a student forgets most often for this case."It encapsulates in 10 minutes' reading BEFORE you go on rounds with your team: • The most essential things to know on each case prior to presenting • The questions you will be asked, how to manage demanding attendings • How not to look like an idiot • What are the most common mistakes a student makes and how you can avoid them. Each disease topic begins with how the patient presents, not the etiology and underlying cause. The causes will be described, but they are not first in line because that is not how life on the wards really is. We include essential "Round Savers" and "Things You Will Be Asked on Rounds" to help you protect yourself. Shared by other students currently on their medicine rotation, these tips will guide you as to what mistakes they made, and how you can avoid them. Likewise, we also specify "How Not to Kill Your Patient," because you need to know! This handbook is designed so you can be "pre-wrong." Instead of being wrong in front of others on rounds, we will tell you how you will be wrong in advance; then when it really counts, you will be right. You will have the critical piece of lab data, history, physical exam, or social history that is indispensable for each specific disease. ГПНТБ России/ЦБ
